The aim of the Amazonas Opera Festival Fund is to raise financial resources to continue investing in cultural, socioeconomic, and training actions, and expand the reach of initiatives that can redefine the productive structure of the Amazon region and help protect the forest.
The Amazonas Opera Festival not only has a cultural impact, making shows of the highest artistic standard accessible to the local public, but also a socioeconomic impact, with continuous initiatives in the areas of education and training, and the generation of work and income.
The Amazon is a diverse region which is home to Indigenous peoples, tropical forest, and large urban centers. By strengthening local ties and generating decent work and income for the local people in the urban centers, the FFAO and its long-term actions contribute to the sustainable development of the region and the tackling of deforestation, creating new opportunities and alternatives to predatory and/or illegal activities in the Amazon forest.
